Jay Bhanushali has finally spoken in support of his ex-wife Mahhi Vij after she was heavily trolled online over dating rumours with Nadim Nadz. The rumours started after Mahhi shared a birthday post for Nadim on social media, which many people misunderstood and began linking the two romantically.

Reacting to the buzz, Jay made it clear that the rumours are not true and are unfair. He said that when a couple separates, people often try to find someone to blame. According to Jay there is no “villain” in their story but people still want to create one for their own assumptions.

As the trolling grew Mahhi’s close friend and fellow actor Ankita Lokhande stepped in to defend her. Ankita shared an emotional note on Instagram, explaining that Nadim has always been like a father figure to Jay and Mahhi and has been a strong support system for their family. She also asked people to stop spreading hate and let everyone live their lives with dignity and peace.

Jay reshared Ankita’s post on his Instagram Stories and thanked her for speaking up. He wrote that he agrees with every word she said. He also reposted Mahhi’s statement, where she strongly reacted to the rumours and called them “disgusting.” Along with it, Jay wrote that their joint statement had already made it clear that there is no villain, yet people continue to create negativity.

Earlier this month, Jay and Mahhi announced their separation after spending 16 years together. In their joint statement they said that even though they are parting ways as a couple, they will always stand by each other as parents. They also shared that their decision was taken with love, peace and mutual respect.

Jay and Mahhi tied the knot in 2010 and went on to build a beautiful family together. They became foster parents to Rajveer and Khushi and later welcomed their daughter Tara in 2019. Even though Jay and Mahhi have now decided to separate they continue to respect each other and are focused on raising their children with love, care, and togetherness.
