Quiet strength is something that veteran Bollywood actor Tabu has always had, on screen and off screen. The legendary actress once shared a very intimate fact in her life in a candid revelation, that is, her relations with her father, or the lack of it. Tabu revealed that her father and mother separated when she was only three years old and since that time, she never even knew her father and never had any memories about her father.

Tabu has been brought up in Hyderabad and has grown up in a family of strong and independent women, having been taken care of by her mother and her maternal grandparents. She thinks that upbringing was critical in the development of her personality and worldview. She was brought up with confidence, independence, and emotional stability and never felt a void that the society places that is usually there.Speaking about the reason why she has never used her father surname Tabu said that it was just never applicable into her life.

Even at school, she would make up her middle name as her surname a move that was not rebellious but rather natural. She confessed that she never felt a sense of curiosity to go out of her way to see him, and she has no emotional attachment or unsolved mysteries about that aspect of her past.Funny enough, her sister has seen her father on a few occasions but Tabu has been indifferent and is at complete peace with her decisions. She has talked a lot that she lives life her ways, be it family, marriage, or personal happiness.

Tabu is still a successful professional in the film industry even today with a few exciting projects in the pipeline. Her story is a lesson to the fact that we do not find fulfillment by checking government boxes but rather living the life as it comes.
