‘You Kept Me Together’: Priyanka Chopra’s Emotional Tribute To Sunil Thapa

Priyanka Chopra paid a heartfelt tribute to her late Mary Kom co-star Sunil Thapa, remembering him as her “Coach Sir”…

After news that her co-star in Mary Kom, Sunil Thapa, has passed away at the age of 68, Priyanka Chopra has written such a personal tribute about him. Thapa, a popular Nepali actor with a long and diverse career in Nepali, Bollywood and regional cinema, has recently passed away and his death has been experienced by his admirers on an international level as well as by the rest of the artists.

Thapa has appeared in the 2014 biographical film of the Indian boxing champion, Mary Kom, in which he takes the role of the coach who instructs and helps the character Priyanka to surmount her hardest moments. Priyanka posted an emotional reel of the film with an emotional caption on Instagram which displayed how valuable his gentleness is off-screen as well.

She wrote that Sunil will always remain her Coach Sir and remembered the way he assisted her during one of the most painful times in her life, the period when her father died. Priyanka informed that he gave her warmth and support and laugh when she was going through it and that she will have his hugs and his laugh as something she will always leave with her.

Priyanka admitted that Thapa did not live long enough to be forgotten in this world, and sent condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones. This is not merely the appreciation of his performance, but her message of appreciation to him that he was a human being who helped her through a hard period.

Sunil Thapa had a career life lasting more than forty years and he featured in more than 300 movies. Other than Mary Kom, he was remembered in other projects as well and was highly admired due to what he did in cinema in South Asia.
