The much-anticipated action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has officially been postponed. The film, which was originally scheduled to release worldwide on March 19, 2026, will now arrive in theatres on June 4, 2026.
The announcement was made by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, who revealed that the decision was taken due to the ongoing escalation of tensions in the Middle East. The region is a significant market for the film’s global release, and the instability has affected cinema operations across several Gulf countries.
According to the makers, the move came after consultations with one of their key distribution partners, Phars Films. The distributors advised the producers to reconsider the release schedule as the volatile situation in the region could impact the film’s theatrical rollout and audience reach.
The timing of the postponement is notable, as the film’s promotional campaign was about to begin in full swing. A grand trailer launch was planned in Bangalore on March 8 with media from across the country attending the event. The first single from the film, titled Tabaahi, was also scheduled to release on March 2. However, the team decided to pause the promotional activities in light of the current developments.
In an official statement, the makers shared that Toxic was conceived as a global cinematic experience aimed at connecting with audiences both in India and across the world. Filmed in Kannada and English, the project has been designed for a wide international audience with multiple dubbed versions.
They also expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and support, stating that the decision to postpone the release was difficult but necessary to ensure the film reaches viewers in the best possible way.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups features an impressive ensemble cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
With its new release date locked for June 4, 2026, the makers are now expected to restart the promotional campaign in the coming months as the film prepares for its worldwide theatrical debut.
