Actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi has delivered one of the most evocative and deeply reflective endorsements yet for Dhurandhar, the Ranveer Singh starrer that continues to dominate conversations across cinema and culture.

In a detailed Instagram story shared on January 7, Oberoi described Dhurandhar “not as spectacle, but as an unflinching act of remembrance and reckoning.” Keeping his words raw and unfiltered, he wrote that the Aditya Dhar directorial “doesn’t just narrate; it lets the story bleed,” adding that the film compels viewers to stay riveted through its full three hours and thirty-four minutes.

A Director Focused on Craft, Not Excess

Praising Aditya Dhar’s vision, Oberoi noted that Dhurandhar reflects the “gaze of a filmmaker devoted not to excess, but to craft, where every frame is etched with intent and every character rendered with precision.” He further stated that the film does not merely push boundaries but “rips the envelope apart,” comparing its cultural disruption to the impact of Animal.

Standout Performances Across the Ensemble

Oberoi reserved particular admiration for the cast, calling Ranveer Singh’s performance one of “subterranean fire,” where restraint and silence speak louder than spectacle.
He described Akshaye Khanna as “magnificent,” with a gaze that carries both menace and moral weight, while R. Madhavan was hailed as the film’s “intellectual steel—calm, lethal, and deeply compelling.”
He also praised Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal for lending the narrative a weathered gravity that makes the shadows of the frontlines feel tangible.

A Story That Demands to Be Witnessed

Calling the act of telling such a story a “risk” and watching it a “duty,” Oberoi dedicated his words to the known and unknown martyrs whose sacrifices shape the present. He concluded his note by congratulating the makers for achieving a historic milestone — Dhurandhar becoming the highest-grossing single-language Hindi film, crossing ₹1,247 crore at the box office by Monday.

Fans across platforms amplified Oberoi’s words, with many calling his reflection “a tribute, not a review.” Several comments also urged the actor to return more frequently to cinema with projects of similar gravitas.

With this powerful endorsement, Oberoi joins a growing list of industry voices praising the film, including Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Smriti Irani, Anupam Kher, and Hrithik Roshan.

On the work front, Vivek Oberoi will next be seen in Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Spirit, and The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji.
