Upcoming Box Office Battles: Salman Khan-Prabhas and Varun Dhawan-Ram Charan Set for Mega Clashes

Several major Bollywood and South Indian films are set to collide at the box office in 2026, with Salman Khan,…

The 2026 box office calendar is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent years, with multiple Bollywood and South Indian biggies scheduled to release around the same time. From Salman Khan and Prabhas to Varun Dhawan and Ram Charan, several top stars are expected to battle it out for audience attention at cinemas across India. One of the most talked-about clashes involves Varun Dhawan’s romantic entertainer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Ram Charan’s Peddi.

While Peddi, also starring Janhvi Kapoor, is scheduled to release on June 4, Varun’s film is arriving a day later on June 5. Addressing the clash earlier, producer Ramesh Taurani had said, “Ab kya kar sakte hain, kuchh nahi. Koi na koi toh aayega hi.” Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace is also rumoured to be eyeing a major festive release window, potentially leading to a massive face-off with other highly anticipated films.

Reports suggest Prabhas’ projects and other pan-India releases could create intense competition during holiday weekends. Apart from these, 2026 is expected to witness several large-scale clashes featuring films like Love & War, Dhamaal 4, Yash’s Toxic, and other pan-India spectacles. Trade analysts believe the growing trend of Bollywood and South collaborations is making theatrical competition even bigger and more unpredictable.

Despite concerns over overcrowded release calendars, fans are excited about witnessing some of Indian cinema’s biggest stars competing at the box office. Social media has already been buzzing with debates over which films will emerge as winners in these high-voltage clashes.
