Toxic Song Tabaahi: Yash Fans Disappointed With It Due To This Reason

The first song from Toxic, “Tabaahi,” has sparked disappointment among Yash fans after makers released only the audio track without…

The launch of the first song of the album Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups elicited both positive and negative reactions on the Internet, with the members of the group Yash showing their dissatisfaction when the makers presented the first song of Toxic, titled Tabaahi, but only in audio version, without the music video. Kiara Advani also stars in the much hyped romantic song, and had been creating a tremendous buzz since the posters and teasers were leaked in social media.

The first offering of the film soundtrack was the audio of Tabaahi, which was released on March 2, and this became the first single of the movie. The song is an urgent rebellious love story in Hindi that is sung and written by Vishal Mishra and lyrics by Raj Shekhar; it breaks the social norms of an intense romantic relationship. The fans had anticipated a full-fledged music video featuring the on-screen interaction between Yash and Kiara, particularly when the previously released promotional materials had emphasized on the passionate scenes of the two characters in the seaside. Rather, lack of images was the topic of discussion on the internet.

In social media, responses were both jokes and being disappointed. Some of them wondered why the filmmakers chose to release it as audio only with some of the comments indicating that the viewers were ready to watch new shots of the movie as opposed to motionless paintings or posters. Some other people, however, complimented the song and the vocals of Mishra, referring to the song as being addictive and being thrilled to hear it in theaters as soon as the movie comes out.

According to industry observers, audio-first releases of songs are not at all rare, especially for large-budget movies that need to maintain the buzz by making a series of releases. Nonetheless, the hype relating to the Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is abnormally high as it is the first film that Yash will appear on the screen after four years since his blockbuster years. It is an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria among others, with a theatrical release date of March 19.
