Netflix has officially dropped the gripping trailer of Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, and it promises an intense, edge-of-the-seat ride into the secretive world of international smuggling and customs intelligence.

Headlined by Emraan Hashmi, the series follows a team of fiercely honest customs officers stationed at Mumbai International Airport who take on a powerful global smuggling syndicate operating across Al-Dera, Addis Ababa, Milan, and Bangkok. Every suitcase hides a secret, every passenger is a suspect, and one mistake could bring the entire operation crashing down.

Emraan Hashmi essays the role of Arjun Meena, a disciplined officer who believes in duty over drama. Alongside him are Amruta Khanvilkar, Nandish Singh Sandhu, and Anurag Sinha as members of the elite task force. Standing on the opposite side is smuggling kingpin Bada Chaudhary, played by Sharad Kelkar, whose empire thrives on deception, coded routes, and manipulation.

Created by ace filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, Taskaree explores a rarely seen side of law enforcement, customs officials who operate silently under constant pressure. The series is backed by Friday Storytellers and marks another high-profile collaboration between Neeraj Pandey and Netflix after the success of Khakee.

With its grounded storytelling, global scale, and sharp performances, Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web positions itself as one of the most anticipated Indian crime thrillers of 2026.

Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web premieres on Netflix on January 14, 2026.
