Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12 in Mumbai at the age of 92 after suffering multi-organ failure. She had been undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital due to a chest infection and extreme exhaustion. Her passing marked the end of an era in Indian music, leaving millions of fans heartbroken. A day later, her residence in Lower Parel was opened for close friends, family, and admirers to pay their final respects.

Actor Tabu was seen emotionally supporting Asha’s granddaughter Zanai during the difficult time, even embracing her in a moment of grief. Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with his wife Anjali, also visited to offer condolences and stand by the family. Music maestro A. R. Rahman and veteran actor Asha Parekh were among several well-known personalities who gathered to honour the late singer. As a mark of respect, her mortal remains were draped in the Indian tricolour, and her final rites are set to take place at Shivaji Park Crematorium.

She is survived by her son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Zanai.
