Sonali Kulkarni recently went through a stressful experience while travelling from Mumbai to Pune after getting trapped in a massive traffic jam for more than five hours. The actor described the situation as frightening and shared her frustration through a video posted on social media.

In the clip shared on Instagram, Sonali revealed that she had been stranded near Mankhurd bridge for hours without any movement. Surrounded by vehicles from all sides, she explained that commuters had no option to move ahead or even turn back.

Expressing concern over the situation, Sonali said, “Hi, I am here on Mankhurd bridge. It’s been exactly five hours that we are stuck here. I am going towards Pune. You can see the traffic behind me and ahead of me. We called the traffic control team; they are saying to have patience.”

The actor further shared that authorities were unable to confirm when the congestion would clear. “The jam is really bad and they are not sure when it will get resolved. We can’t cross. We are completely stuck because we can’t turn back either. Pray for us. Police, if you know anything or can come from the other side and give us an update, then please do,” she added.

Sonali admitted that the situation had become overwhelming after hours of waiting on the road. “We can’t even say we are hungry, it’s beyond that. I know people must have gone through much worse situations than us, but this is scary, five hours at just one position,” she said.

Her post quickly resonated with social media users, many of whom shared similar experiences of getting stranded in long traffic jams across Mumbai. Several users criticised the city’s growing infrastructure problems and lack of proper traffic management.

One user commented that they had been stuck for seven hours while travelling from BKC to Vashi bridge and claimed that no traffic officials were present along the route. Another wrote that the situation reflected the worsening urban infrastructure challenges faced by commuters daily.
