Rumours around Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal have once again grabbed attention after a recent public sighting sparked fresh speculation. The two had earlier made headlines after calling off their wedding, and now a new development has reignited curiosity among fans.
The buzz began when a video surfaced online showing Smriti’s father meeting singer Palak Muchhal and her husband Mithoon in Mumbai. In the clip, Palak is seen greeting him respectfully by touching his feet, a gesture many interpreted as a sign of warmth between the families.
Although there is no confirmation about the context of the meeting, the video quickly went viral, leading to speculation that things might be improving between the two families. Social media users shared mixed reactions, with some expressing surprise and others questioning whether the clip was recent or part of a planned narrative. A few users even suggested that if both sides have moved on peacefully, there is no reason for outsiders to judge.
For those unaware, Smriti and Palaash were reportedly set to get married on November 23 last year. However, the wedding was suddenly called off following a medical emergency involving Smriti’s father. Around the same time, Palaash was also hospitalised, which further intensified concern and speculation.
Soon after, several rumours began circulating, including unverified claims about issues in their relationship. Addressing the situation, Palaash shared a note on Instagram announcing his decision to step away from the relationship.
“I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship.”
“Its been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me. Its the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding on to my beliefs. I truly hope we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip, whose sources are never identified. Our words can wound in ways we may never understand,” he added.
Following the split, the two also unfollowed each other on Instagram, further confirming their distance. However, this latest sighting has once again raised questions about whether there could be a possibility of reconciliation.
