Raj Arjun talks about how his daughter changed his life
Raj Arjun revealed that when he first arrived in Mumbai, he wanted to become an actor but was discouraged by numerous rejections over time.He then went on to describe how having a daughter (Sara) in 2005 was life-changing for him; his experience helped him to understand what it means to have a daughter be considered a blessing. He continued to talk about how he had many projects on hold or delayed leaving him feeling as if he were not able to keep up with his daughter’s growth.
He said, “I had no way of escaping or stopping so I stayed around to face everything, but there was fear during that period of time when I had no money and the only thing that had stopped looking at me was the mirror, like it didn’t even want to know what was going on because there were no more answers left to find. Yet with her bright eyes looking at me all the time, ‘Be strong, Papa; I need you to support me’—she was the one who kept me together; she became my strength; she became the real Dhurandhar.”He remembers how excited he was when he landed his first lead part soon after she was born. Even though the movie eventually did not get made, he didn’t lose any of his energy and focus, and stated that he would not be the same person or artist without her.

He shared that in 2016, he brought Sara to Mukesh Chhabra’s office, where she entered confidently and left confidently by taking Raj’s hand and leading him outside; he sees this again as the moment that changed his life for the better. Shortly thereafter, Raj received the role of Secret Superstar, which became a global blockbuster with a box office gross of 900 crores rupees.
He referred to Sara as ” the source of light” of his life in that she has been there to guide him and bring him together at times. “On the walls of dark and difficult times, Sara would write her light so beautifully. That same daughter who is now a Dhurandhar is also shining her brilliance across the globe while also continuing to share some of that light with me.”
He then called her his greatest strength, saying, “There was a time when I was the one supporting her; today she is the person supporting me. People say that daughters walk ahead of their fathers holding their father’s hand; in my case, I have arrived at where I have arrived by holding my daughter’s hand; I feel a quiet sense of pride in that knowledge.”
Raj made his Bollywood debut with Black Friday in 2004 and later appeared in supporting roles in films such as Rowdy Rathore, Raees, and Thaandavam. However, he gained widespread recognition for his performance in the 2017 film Secret Superstar. He has since been part of projects like Thalaivii, Shershaah, Article 370, Razakar, and Dear Comrade, among others.
Sara, meanwhile, started her acting journey at a very young age, even before turning six. She first received acclaim for her role in Deiva Thirumagal and went on to feature in films like Saivam, Ek Thi Daayan, Jai Ho, and Jazbaa as a child artist.
