Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan is expected to be discharged soon after spending nearly a month at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. The 90-year-old had been admitted in February following a brain haemorrhage which required close medical supervision.
According to reports, Salim Khan was brought to the hospital on February 17 and has since been under the care of senior specialists. Doctors earlier confirmed that the haemorrhage was minimal and a minor procedure was successfully carried out. While his condition had required ventilator support initially, his health has steadily improved over the past few weeks.
Medical experts monitoring his progress have shared that he is now stable and responding well to treatment. Keeping his age in mind the recovery has been gradual, but encouraging. If all goes as planned, he is likely to be discharged in the coming days.
