In a candid interview with Gautami Kapoor on Love Unscripted YouTube series, veteran TV and film actor Ram Kapoor revealed that the demands of his career originally caused him to be almost absent in the lives of his children who never saw him almost in a decade.
Honestly considering that stage, Ram remarked that his children did not really know him at the time, since he spent all his time at work, usually he was leaving home on Sundays and coming home late on Dew Tuesdays because of intense shooting schedules.
Ram and Gautami started dating on the TV show sets of Ghar Ek Mandir in 2000 and got married on the day of valentine in 2003. They had their first child, a daughter, Sia, in 2006, when the career of Ram was gaining fast impetus and therefore had work-related demands. Gautami explained that she was unprepared the moment she became pregnant up to which Ram viewed the situation with enthusiasm.
This came at a crucial career breakthrough to him, especially with the show Kasamh Se which was a major success and was a turning point in his career. Ram gave full credit to his wife to keep the family together without any hesitation considering the sacrifices that it made to balance a life of stardom and family life. He called Gautami as Mother India, and he admired her because she was running a household single-handedly and bringing up their children as he pursued his career. He mentioned that he never thought about home since she managed so much so that he was able to give his all to work.
They now have two kids in the form of a daughter Sia and a son Aks and the things that Ram said are a heartfelt realization of all the struggles and appreciation they have had as a family.
