Rakul Preet Singh has always been vocal about mindful eating, and her latest revelation is turning heads. The Thank God actor shared that she has completely replaced wheat roti with jowar or ragi roti for the last 10 years, making a strong case for smarter, long-term food choices.

Speaking on the Khaane Mein Kya Hai YouTube channel, Rakul explained that while dal, sabzi, or chicken remain staples in her meals, the key change is the flour. For more such updates follow The GossipGully.com.

“At home, when you eat, at least those can be smarter choices. Once in a while, you can eat other foods, but the flour changes. You will see differences. The gut is the second brain of your body,” she said.

Why Jowar and Ragi Make a Difference

According to consultant dietitian Garima Goyal, replacing wheat with millets like jowar or ragi over a long period can have visible health benefits. Both are naturally gluten-free, making them gentler on digestion and suitable for people with gluten sensitivity. They are also high in fibre, which helps with satiety, blood sugar regulation, and gut health.

Over time, such a diet may lower the risk of obesity, diabetes, and digestive issues like constipation. Ragi is also known for its calcium content, while jowar supports heart health due to its antioxidant properties.

Rakul’s approach highlights a simple truth: you don’t need extreme diets—small, consistent swaps can deliver lasting results. Her decade-long commitment to millet rotis is a reminder that sustainable fitness starts at home.
