Deepika Padukone is proving once again that motherhood and work can go hand in hand. After recently announcing her second pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh, the actor has resumed filming for King alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Cape Town, South Africa
On Friday, leaked images from the ongoing schedule surfaced online and quickly spread across social media platforms. The pictures show Deepika in a flowing floral gown, while Shah Rukh appears in a stylish printed shirt paired with his salt-and-pepper look. In one of the photos, the two are seen walking hand in hand, reportedly filming a romantic sequence. Crew members can also be spotted around them on set.
As soon as the images appeared online, fans flooded Reddit, Instagram and X with reactions praising the actors’ appearance and chemistry. One fan wrote, “Why the hell is it looking like a Renaissance painting?” Another commented, “Great styling for both.”
Deepika especially received admiration for her screen presence. A fan shared, “My eyes always land on Deepika even if she’s not in focus in the pic, even when I haven’t read the caption to expect her in the pic. She’s something else, man, look at her.” Shah Rukh’s appearance also impressed fans, with one writing, “SRK looks amazing, better than Jawaan and Pathaan looks.” Another added, “SRK looking incredible for 60.”
The buzz around the pictures comes just days after Deepika and Ranveer announced they are expecting their second child. The couple shared an emotional Instagram post featuring their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test, which instantly went viral online.
Despite her pregnancy, Deepika continues to stay busy with work commitments. According to reports, she is simultaneously shooting for King and another action film, Raaka, where she is reportedly performing intense action sequences under strict safety measures.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Jaideep Ahlawat in important roles. The film is set to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.
