Rumours around big films often spread quickly, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film Spirit is no exception. Recently, social media was abuzz with claims that actor Prakash Raj had quit the film after alleged creative differences with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. However, the actor has now put all speculation to rest.
According to reports, Prakash Raj was unhappy with the execution of a particular scene and parts of the script while the shoot was underway, which reportedly led to an argument on set. These claims further fuelled rumours that the senior actor had decided to walk out of the project. But when HT City reached out to Prakash Raj for clarity, he dismissed the rumours outright.
Calling the reports baseless, Prakash Raj told HT City, “Some nonsense speculations these are. I am not aware of it,” clearly stating that he has not quit the film and remains a part of Spirit. His confirmation has brought relief to fans who were worried about yet another casting change in the project.
Interestingly, the sound story of Spirit, which was released by the makers on social media in October last year, featured Prakash Raj’s voiceover, further indicating his involvement in the film. This detail adds weight to the actor’s statement and contradicts the exit rumours.
Spirit is one of the most awaited upcoming films and marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film has already made headlines earlier when Deepika Padukone was reportedly replaced by Triptii Dimri as the female lead. The first look of Spirit, released in December last year, created massive buzz among fans. Apart from Prabhas and Prakash Raj, the film also stars Vivek Oberoi in an important role.
With Prakash Raj finally breaking his silence, it is clear that the rumours were unfounded, and Spirit continues to remain on track as one of the biggest projects in the pipeline.
