A major controversy has erupted after a viral podcast episode made shocking claims about actor Allu Arjun. What started as a discussion on celebrity culture has now turned into a public war of words, legal action, and allegations of online harassment.
Recently, brand strategist Kaveri Baruah appeared on the Sweekriti Talks podcast and shared an experience about meeting Allu Arjun. In the now private video, Kaveri claimed that before meeting the actor, she was given a list of 42 “dos and don’ts.” According to her, the rules included instructions like not looking into the actor’s eyes and not shaking his hand. She also mentioned that South stars often travel with a large entourage and multiple layers of managers.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, leading to heavy criticism of Allu Arjun. Many users reacted strongly, questioning the actor’s behaviour. However, Allu Arjun’s team soon denied the claims and called them “completely baseless and untrue.”
In an official statement, the actor’s team said that he has always conducted himself with dignity and respect. They also confirmed that legal action for defamation has been initiated against those responsible for spreading what they called false allegations. The statement urged people not to share unverified information.
After the legal response, podcaster Sweekriti took to Instagram and said she had removed the video from both Instagram and YouTube. She alleged that her guest was facing “coordinated harassment” from PR machinery and bot accounts. According to her, she chose to protect her guest, who holds a responsible position in a reputed organisation, instead of continuing the controversy.
Sweekriti did not hold back in her criticism. In her Instagram stories, she called Allu Arjun and his team “sheer losers” and “power hungry.” She also claimed that the actor’s PR team was attacking her online and that she was being abused on social media. The podcaster shared screenshots of derogatory comments that she said were posted by fans of the actor.
In another post, she wrote that she now understands what happens “when people speak the truth,” and called on members of the Telugu film industry to speak up.
As of now, the original video has been made private, and the matter seems to be moving towards a legal battle. While one side claims defamation, the other alleges harassment and bullying.
The controversy has once again raised questions about celebrity image management, the power of PR teams, and the impact of social media trolling. With legal proceedings now underway, it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
