While shooting for Leo, photos of Vijay and Trisha strolling through Oslo, Norway surfaced online. The images quickly went viral and sparked speculation about their relationship although both actors have remained private about their personal lives.

In March 2022, Trisha shared photos from what she described as a solo trip to New York City. However, one picture showing two pairs of footwear led fans to speculate that someone might have accompanied her on the trip with many guessing Vijay.

In 2024, reports suggested that Vijay and Trisha travelled to Goa to attend the destination wedding of actress Keerthy Suresh and businessman Antony Thattil. Their presence at the same event once again sparked discussion about their longstanding friendship.
