A happy marriage that was most likely supposed to happen between music composer Palash Muchhal and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana now seems to be an issue of discussion among the people, after new allegations being made by actor-producer Vidnyan Mane.

Mane, Palash and Smriti had a close affair that lasted close to six years and they were very much attached to one another. Their marriage was said to be planned to be held in November last year in Sangli. But only a day prior to the ceremony, it was abruptly cancelled and the many fans were shocked and bewildered.

Shortly after the cancellation, Palash removed all his social media photos of Smriti and this caused a lot of speculation about relationship problems. At this point, Mane has claimed that Palash was caught out with another woman just before the wedding. He has also accused the composer of embezzling him 40 lakh.

Such arguments have made the controversy more intense. Palash Muchhal has responded by reportedly delivering a military notice of 10 crore in currency to Mane in strong denial of all the allegations being made and referring to them as being false and defamatory.

The official reason provided at the time of the wedding cancellation was that of a medical emergency of Smriti Mandhana, the father. The family had demanded privacy and fans did not interfere greatly. But the situation has again fallen into the scrutiny of people with these new accusations coming to light.

A personal and intimate issue has turned out to be a very popular subject. Although it is still uncertain, the scandal still makes it clear that personal relationships of people in the position of power tend to be a highly publicized topic in the media, occasionally at a high emotional price.
