Recently, Nora Fatehi has posted a video to her followers about the heightened tensions in the Middle East assuring them of her safety and encouraging everyone to come together in a spirit of togetherness. Another video she posted followed this by stating that her previous video promoting worldwide peace did not sit well with many of her viewers because they perceived it as pro-Palestinian and pro-Iranian, leading to substantial backlash from other members of the public who feel that she is not entitled to express any opinion on geopolitical issues.
Nora Fatehi responds to her critics
On Wednesday, Nora posted an Instagram Story saying “Happy Holi” to her followers in celebration of the holiday and then addressed those who had attacked her regarding her opinions. She noted that a large number of people today do not possess the skills needed to listen actively and comprehend what is being taught. She also pointed out that the rise of social media and the prevalence of using cell phones have contributed to how we process information. Despite all of this negativity directed at her, she expressed that she continues to support the idea of world peace and global unity.

Nora Fatehi expressed that if anyone feels that they do not belong or are not a part of her comments, then they need to recognize that we all live in the same world – just as every country has people living within it. She went on to say if people are offended by a universal call for peace and an end to chaos, then they must reflect on their own value systems, as an angry reaction to a message of peace creates a moral dilemma. Referring back to her original video, she said that she was voicing her frustrations over how society has dealt with so many crises and that she was speaking on behalf of everyone. Nora wants people to understand that if my comments make you angry or upset, then you need to think again about why you’re responding negatively.
Nora’s final remark was reaffirming her commitment to a peaceful world and unity among humanity. After making her prayers (and breaking her fast), she found it alarming to realize that people could be upset with her message of global harmony. To her, that is a disturbing thought; however, she will always continue to advocate for peace and togetherness between mankind, no matter what the criticism about her may be.
Nora Fatehi released a previous video stating that she is currently in India, not Dubai. She expressed that due to a series of confusing global events over a short time, most people are experiencing extreme levels of mental exhaustion. Nora urged everyone to have faith and empathy and to stick together when there is so much out of their control.
About the US-Iran conflict in the Middle East
Tensions increased with the reported military strikes against Iran by both the United States and Israeli forces. The strikes caused significant losses in the military and politically for Iran, including the Supreme Leader’s death. Subsequently, Iran retaliated by attacking U.S. military bases throughout the region, significantly escalating regional tensions. The attacks resulted in the cancellation of many flights and disruption of travel plans across Dubai and the Middle East, with many passengers still stranded. Since then, Indian nationals have been safely evacuated from those areas.
