At 78, veteran Bollywood star Mumtaz continues to impress fans with her energy and fitness. The actor recently opened up about her disciplined lifestyle, revealing that consistency—not shortcuts—is the real secret behind her youthful glow.

One of the most striking habits she follows is avoiding dinner altogether. Mumtaz shared that she stops eating by late afternoon and doesn’t consume a proper meal after that, a rule she adopted after advice from Akshay Kumar. She mentioned that he encouraged her to finish meals early, a practice he also follows in his own routine.

Her daily diet is simple and structured. Breakfast is light, often consisting of cereal and milk, while lunch remains her main meal, usually including a millet-based roti with vegetables or protein. After that, she avoids food for the rest of the day, occasionally opting for fruit if needed.

Fitness, for Mumtaz, goes beyond diet. She dedicates around 90 minutes daily to exercise, including weight training and leg workouts. According to her, discipline is non-negotiable, and she believes lack of consistency is what prevents most people from staying fit. She bluntly remarked that laziness is the biggest hurdle when it comes to health.

Her approach reflects a larger philosophy—health is built over time through routine and effort. Even after decades in the industry, Mumtaz continues to follow a strict regimen, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to maintaining fitness and vitality.
