Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recently opened up about his deep emotional connection with granddaughter Raha and how her presence has transformed the family. Speaking about her, he said, “Raha came into our lives like a drop of divinity.”

Bhatt described the experience of becoming a grandfather as deeply moving, adding that the little one has brought immense joy into his life. He also reflected on watching his daughter Alia Bhatt grow—not just as a successful actor but now as a mother.

Sharing his admiration for Raha, he said, “Her vitality is fierce. Her mind—sharp, almost evolutionary. She gives you a sense of time.” He added that being around her makes him reflect on life in a deeper way, while also bringing simple happiness.

Mahesh Bhatt also spoke about observing both Alia and Raha together, calling it a reminder of life’s continuity. Despite his philosophical thoughts, he said he enjoys the simple joys of being a grandfather. “To simply speak to her… that is enough for a day,” he shared.

Raha is the daughter of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who recently celebrated their wedding anniversary with a trip to the Austrian Alps.

On the work front, Alia is gearing up for Alpha, while Ranbir will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The couple will also share screen space in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Vicky Kaushal.
