A political row has erupted after Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane questioned actor Aamir Khan’s third marriage with Gauri Sprat, linking it to the controversial term “love jihad.”

Speaking to reporters in Shirdi, Rane said Aamir’s personal life should prompt people to think before celebrating celebrities. He also questioned whether the actor was becoming a “brand ambassador” for what he described as “love jihad” and urged the Hindu community to reconsider supporting such public figures.

Rane further claimed that discussions around Aamir Khan’s third marriage and the “love jihad” narrative were gaining traction. He also appealed to moviegoers to reflect on the personal choices of celebrities before making them role models.

Aamir Khan recently married wellness professional Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony held at his Mumbai residence. The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta and filmmaker Kiran Rao. As of now, Aamir Khan has not publicly responded to Rane’s remarks.
