Netflix’s award-winning crime thriller Kohrra is back with a gripping second season, promising a darker mystery, deeper character conflicts, and a fresh investigative dynamic. After setting a new benchmark for Indian police procedurals with its debut season, Kohrra returns on February 11, reaffirming its place as one of Netflix India’s most compelling original series.
Season 2 sees Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, played by Barun Sobti, leaving Jagrana behind and reporting to the Dalerpura Police Station. This time, Garundi works under a new commanding officer, Dhanwant Kaur, portrayed by Mona Singh, whose sharp instincts and uncompromising approach set the tone for the investigation ahead. Though vastly different in temperament, both officers share a relentless dedication to cracking the case—no matter the personal cost.

Created and written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia, and Sudip Sharma, the new season introduces an entirely fresh case rooted once again in Punjab’s bleak, wintry terrain—where silence often conceals uncomfortable truths. As the investigation unfolds, Garundi and Dhanwant Kaur are forced to confront not just the crime at hand, but also the emotional walls they have built to escape their own pasts.
Season 2 also marks a significant creative evolution for the series. Visionary creator Sudip Sharma steps into the director’s chair alongside Faisal Rahman, bringing a more intimate and immersive lens to the storytelling. Speaking about the new season, Sharma shared that the team has once again focused on portraying Punjab with honesty and restraint, allowing quiet tensions and unspoken histories to drive the narrative.
Produced by A Film Squad Production in association with Act Three, with producers Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra, and Tina Tharwani, Kohrra Season 2 raises the stakes while staying true to the grounded realism that made the first season a cult favourite.
With Barun Sobti returning as Garundi and Mona Singh making a powerful addition to the franchise, Kohrra Season 2 promises a haunting new chapter in Indian noir—one where truth surfaces slowly, and the real danger often lies beneath the fog.
Kohrra Season 2 begins streaming on February 11, exclusively on Netflix.
