Khushi Kapoor is reportedly facing an interesting career twist after losing out on a major South film role to her own sister, Janhvi Kapoor. According to recent reports, Khushi was initially being considered for the role of Achiyamma in Ram Charan’s upcoming pan-India film Peddi. However, the makers later finalised Janhvi Kapoor for the part.

The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has already generated massive buzz due to its star cast and large-scale production. Janhvi Kapoor will reportedly play a rustic village girl named Achiyamma opposite Ram Charan in the sports-action drama. Her first-look posters from the film had earlier received a strong response online, with fans praising her de-glam transformation.

Reports now claim that Khushi Kapoor was also in talks for the role during the early stages of casting. However, the makers ultimately felt Janhvi suited the character better because of her growing pan-India popularity and previous South film exposure through Devara. Neither Khushi nor the film’s team has officially commented on the casting speculation so far.

Social media users quickly reacted to the reports, with many debating whether Khushi would have been a better fit for the role. Some fans also pointed out that Janhvi currently has a stronger presence in the South film industry, making the casting decision commercially understandable.

Meanwhile, Peddi continues to remain one of the most anticipated upcoming Telugu films. Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the movie also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu Sharma in key roles. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2026.

Khushi Kapoor, on the other hand, is slowly building her Bollywood career after making her acting debut with The Archies. The young actor is currently working on several upcoming projects while continuing to grow her popularity among Gen-Z audiences.
