Kareena Kapoor Khan has this one hope from brother Ranbir Kapoor and sister Karisma Kapoor. There have bene reports about Ranbir is supposedly looking to revive RK Studios. But Bebo denied any such claims. The popular studio was created by Raj Kapoor in 1948, located in Chembur, Mumbai. Recently, there have been reports of Ranbir taking out a long-term lease on a large property that has led to speculation of a renewal of RK Studios. However, the original RK Studios land was sold to Godrej Properties by the Kapoor family in May 2019 for ₹180 Crores.
Kareena Kapoor has dismissed the buzz around RK Studios making a comeback, stating clearly that there are no such plans right now. In an interview with Etimes, she said, “That’s just not true. It was even being discussed in our family group, and everyone was like, ‘This isn’t happening.’ I feel people really want it to happen.”
She further explained that although the studio holds deep emotional value for the family, any possibility of restarting it would be up to the younger generation. Kareena noted that Ranbir Kapoor is currently concentrating on his acting career. She also hinted that he and her sister Karisma Kapoor might think about it someday. She added, “I feel like Ranbir is focused on acting. He loves acting. I think he’s the best actor in India we have today. So, his focus is on that. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s not happening. Maybe Lolo and Ranbir should think about it because I don’t think I can think like a director or a producer.”
Kareena about her new work with Meghna Gulzar
Addressing issues that are new to her, Kareena Kapoor expressed her excitement regarding Daayra (which has been directed by Meghna Gulzar) as being a very different type of creative project than anything she’s ever done before, primarily due to its content-driven nature. She indicated that working with Meghna was unique for her because it presented her with many possibilities for taking on many different roles within one project. Kareena went on to say that she continues to want to experiment with her career and be involved with other projects that utilize long-form storytelling processes and mentioned that she also has plans to work on a miniseries soon.
