Janhvi Kapoor recently shared a deeply personal perspective on faith and privilege while talking about her visits to Tirupati. Speaking candidly, the actress admitted that while she often opts for VIP darshan for convenience and safety, it doesn’t always sit right with her.
She acknowledged the contrast between her experience and that of countless devotees who wait for hours—or even days—for a brief moment of darshan. For many, she said, it’s easy to accept such privilege, but for her, it feels different.
Janhvi revealed that she prefers to take the traditional route—climbing the 3,500 steps to the temple—because it gives her a sense of earning the experience. “If I’m going to see Balaji, I want to climb and earn that darshan,” she shared, emphasizing the emotional connection she feels with the journey.
The actress also spoke about how being born into a certain position comes with advantages, but it’s important to stay aware of that privilege. For her, faith is not just about reaching the temple, but about the effort and intention behind it.
Her honest reflection has struck a chord with many, as it highlights a rare blend of humility and self-awareness in an industry often associated with exclusivity.
