Hema Malini addresses rumours about her bond with Sunny and Bobby Deol and reveals the emotional reason she hasn’t yet…

Veteran actor and politician Hema Malini has finally broken her silence on the speculation surrounding her relationship with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, while also revealing the deeply emotional reason she has not yet watched Dharmendra’s last film, Ikkis.

Following the demise of legendary actor Dharmendra on November 24, the nation mourned the loss of Bollywood’s original “He-Man.” However, amid the collective grief, social media was rife with rumours suggesting tensions within the Deol family. These speculations gained traction after Sunny and Bobby Deol organised a prayer meet for their late father, which Hema Malini did not attend. Instead, she held a Gita Paath at her residence on the same day and later hosted a separate prayer meet in Delhi along with her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, two weeks later.

Addressing the gossip in an interview with The Indian Express, Hema Malini firmly dismissed the rumours. She clarified that her relationship with Sunny and Bobby has always been “nice and cordial” and continues to be so. The actor added that people often jump to conclusions without knowing the full truth and emphasized that she does not feel compelled to explain her personal family matters to the public.

Hema also responded to reports about a museum being planned in Dharmendra’s memory. She confirmed that Sunny Deol is spearheading the initiative and keeps her informed about such decisions. According to her, the family remains in communication and will consult one another whenever required.

When asked about Ikkis, Dharmendra’s final on-screen appearance, Hema Malini shared a heartfelt reason for not watching the film yet. She admitted that it is still too emotionally overwhelming for her. The pain of loss, she said, makes it difficult to see him on screen at this moment. Hema also revealed that her daughters feel the same way and that they may watch the film later, when time has softened the grief.
