Dharmendra’s final film Ikkis has been a deeply emotional farewell for fans, family, and the Hindi film industry. Ahead of its release, sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol held a special screening in Mumbai, attended by top Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Ameesha Patel, and several industry friends.
However, one absence stood out — or rather, three. According to an insider who spoke exclusively to GossipGully, Hema Malini and her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol were not invited to the event.
This has once again ignited conversations about the long-standing distance within the Deol family. The source claims that Sunny and Bobby chose to keep the event restricted to their side of the family and close circle, “Hema ji was aware of the screening but was not invited. So, she decided to maintain her dignity and remain absent.”
This is not the first time that such an exclusion has occurred. Earlier, Hema Malini was reportedly kept out of Dharmendra’s prayer meet hosted by Sunny Deol following the legendary actor’s demise. Reports also stated that she and her daughters were informed about his death only at the last moment — something that deeply saddened the fans of the Dream Girl.

Despite the continuous cold behaviour towards her, Hema Malini has always gracefully carried herself and fulfilled her responsibilities as Dharmendra’s widow, without ever publicly reacting to the strained family dynamics.
Fans are now questioning why, during a moment that honours Dharmendra’s legacy, the Deol family still appears divided.
