The trailer of Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi was unveiled on Wednesday, giving audiences a glimpse into a dreamy romantic drama built around a love story that lasts just a single day.
Directed by Sunil Pandey the film is backed by Aamir Khan Productions and written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra. The project also brings together music composer Ram Sampath and lyricist Irshad Kamil.
The trailer opens with Junaid’s character speaking to a stranger in a snow covered setting about a mysterious bell believed to change the fate of hopeless lovers. According to him, couples from around the world ring the bell in the hope that destiny will favour them. Though the man dismisses the idea, Junaid approaches the bell and makes a wish while looking at Meera, played by Sai Pallavi hoping they might end up together even if only for a day.
Soon after, the bell rings and their paths cross.
The trailer then shifts into a montage of the two spending time together amid picturesque landscapes. Their interactions carry a playful tone, including a moment where Meera challenges him to maintain eye contact with her for a full minute. She eventually looks away first blushing, hinting at the budding chemistry between them.
However, the story also hints at emotional conflict. In one scene, Meera slaps him after feeling betrayed, suggesting that their fleeting romance may not be as simple as it appears.
The trailer ends on a poignant note. Meera hugs him tightly and calls it the most beautiful day of her life. Junaid’s character responds quietly telling her that she will not remember it the next day.
The film is produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit. With its blend of romance, mystery and emotional stakes Ek Din promises a love story shaped by fate and time.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
