Double Delight for RCB: Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli Celebrate WPL 2026 Title Win

Smriti Mandhana’s match-winning knock guided RCB Women to another WPL title, drawing heartfelt congratulations from Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru once again created history as their women’s team lifted the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 trophy, defeating Delhi Capitals in a thrilling final. After the win, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli congratulated the team, celebrating the special moment on social media.

RCB Women chased down a huge target of 203 runs in the final held on February 5, winning the match by six wickets. With this victory, the team secured their second WPL title, proving their dominance in women’s cricket.

Soon after the win, Anushka Sharma shared a picture of the RCB Women celebrating with the trophy on Instagram. Reacting to the achievement, she wrote, “RCB Women do it again. History repeated.” Her message quickly caught fans’ attention, as it reflected the pride and joy felt by RCB supporters.

Virat Kohli also took to Instagram to congratulate the team. He praised captain Smriti Mandhana, the squad, and the management for their hard work and dedication. Kohli wrote that the team should enjoy the moment and embrace the love from RCB’s loyal fans, calling the victory truly well-deserved.

The final saw a brilliant batting performance from RCB, led by Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll. After the early dismissal of Grace Harris, the duo took complete control of the chase. They stitched together a massive 165-run partnership, which turned the match in RCB’s favour.

Mandhana played a stunning captain’s knock, scoring 87 runs off 41 balls, including 12 fours and three sixes. Georgia Voll supported her beautifully with 79 runs off 54 balls, hitting 14 boundaries. Thanks to their efforts, RCB reached 204/4 in 19.4 overs.

Although Delhi Capitals picked up a few quick wickets towards the end, Radha Yadav and Nadine de Klerk stayed calm. Radha finished the match in style by hitting back-to-back fours, helping RCB cross the line with two balls to spare.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals had posted 203/4, the highest total ever in a WPL final. Jemimah Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt played key roles for DC, while Chinelle Henry’s quick unbeaten knock pushed the score past 200. However, RCB’s strong batting proved too good on the day.

Smriti Mandhana was named Player of the Match for her match-winning performance. With this victory, RCB now holds both the WPL and IPL titles, marking a golden phase for the franchise.
