The long-standing dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over Don 3 appears to be nearing a peaceful conclusion. According to reports, Ranveer has offered to return his ₹10 crore signing amount to Excel Entertainment and is also willing to compensate for pre-production losses by offering a stake in his upcoming film Pralay. The exact share, however, remains undisclosed.
The conflict reportedly began after Ranveer’s sudden exit from Don 3 following the release of Dhurandhar in December 2025. Farhan, who was set to direct the third installment of the iconic franchise, was said to be unhappy with the abrupt decision. Reports suggested that the matter escalated to the Producers Guild of India, where discussions were held to address the issue.
During these meetings, it was claimed that nearly ₹40 crore had already been spent on pre-production by Excel Entertainment, with the script allegedly approved by Ranveer at multiple stages. On the other hand, the actor reportedly felt that the project had been delayed and sidelined during a challenging phase in his career, which contributed to his decision to step away.
The Guild is said to have advised both parties to resolve the matter amicably rather than pursue legal action. While there has been no official confirmation from either side yet, the reported financial settlement indicates a move toward closure.
For now, the future of Don 3 remains uncertain, but this development suggests that both sides are keen to move forward on a more positive note.
