Aditya Dhar‘s high octane action drama Dhurandhar: The Revenge is showing no signs of slowing down. Headlined by Ranveer Singh the film has crossed a staggering ₹1250 crore worldwide within just 10 days of its release marking one of the fastest runs for a Hindi film in recent times.
According to trade estimates the film’s domestic performance remains its strongest pillar. By its second Saturday, Dhurandhar 2 had collected approximately ₹779 crore net in India translating to around ₹930 crore gross. The overseas market has also contributed significantly, bringing in close to $34 million (roughly ₹322 crore). This pushes the film’s worldwide total to an impressive ₹1252 crore.
The numbers are not just big they are historic. The film has already surpassed the lifetime global collections of RRR and KGF Chapter 2, which stood at approximately ₹1230 crore and ₹1215 crore respectively. It has also overtaken Jawan further cementing its position among the highest grossing Indian films ever.
What makes this run even more remarkable is its consistency in the second week traditionally a period where collections tend to dip. Instead, Dhurandhar 2 has maintained strong footfall driven by word of mouth, repeat viewings, and its pan-India appeal across languages.
Directed by Aditya Dhar the film builds on the success of its own, taking audiences deeper into a tense espionage narrative. Ranveer Singh plays Jaskirat Singh Rangi an Indian spy operating undercover across the border. The film blends stylised action with emotional stakes, a combination that has resonated strongly with audiences.
The ensemble cast includes Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and others, each adding weight to the film’s intense narrative.
Despite its commercial success the film hasn’t been without controversy. Critics have pointed to its graphic violence and political undertones, sparking debates online. However, supporters argue that the film’s raw action and emotional core justify its storytelling choices. Action director Aejaz Gulab recently noted that the film’s action was designed to be “brutal yet meaningful,” aligning with the demands of the script.
