Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has truly embraced motherhood and fans are loving this new phase of her life. Deepika welcomed her daughter Dua Padukone Singh with husband Ranveer Singh in 2024 recently opened up about her bond with her little one and her honest confessions have left the internet gushing.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar India Deepika spoke about her current obsession and her answer instantly won hearts. “Not current I’m going to remove ‘current’ from it. My obsession is my daughter,” she said with a smile. The statement perfectly reflects how deeply she is enjoying being a mother.
During the interview, Deepika shared several sweet and funny moments from her daily life as a mom. When asked about the weirdest thing in her bag, she revealed it was a piece of thepla that her daughter Dua had been eating and which accidentally fell into her bag. The moment felt extremely relatable for many mothers.
She also shared that her current favourite karaoke song is the nursery rhyme Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, proving how her world now revolves around her baby. Talking about a phrase she uses the most these days, Deepika said she often tells her daughter, “I love you,” adding that it’s always in the best way.When asked what she would have been if not an actor, Deepika said she might have become an interior designer. However, she added that Ranveer Singh believes she would have made a great lawyer.

On the work front, Deepika is set to return to the big screen after motherhood with Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and Saurabh Shukla. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24 2026.
