Music composer-turned-director Palaash Muchhal recently came into the spotlight after reports surfaced that his wedding with cricketer Smriti Mandhana had been called off. Meanwhile, actor Daisy Shah has taken a balanced approach, stating that she would not judge him based on his personal life, as she is unaware of what actually happened behind the scenes.

Daisy on Palaash and Smriti

Daisy Shah revealed in an interview with Miss Malini that after Palaash Muchhal’s wedding to Smriti Mandhana had been cancelled he had initially been reluctant to reach out to her directly about the next film he was going to be directing due to there being much more awkwardness surrounding it than normal.

Daisy went on to say she had received a couple of phone calls from a couple of different people claiming to work for Palaash and was calling her to ask her if she was available for an upcoming film he was going to be making. After some thought, Daisy thought it was odd because she thought if Palaash really wanted to reach out to her that he would have either called her or gone through his sister Palak Muchhal, who she is very close with, and it seemed odd to her that he did not do it more in the proper way.

Daisy asked, “I sent Palaash a message myself just to clarify, and he replied, ‘Yes ma’am, you’re correct, however with the current circumstances I am avoiding calling anyone to avoid being taken in some other way.’”Daisy said after a day or two they finally were able to have a narration meeting. After that she told him she wanted to continue with the film.

During the interview she was asked about if she ever doubted working with palash on project. Daisy said that she believes in keeping the personal and business lives separate, has no problem shifting back and forth between the two, and does not believe one affects the other. She said she was not completely sure of the events themselves, due to everyone having a different perspective on each situation. She stated that because there are two families involved in this case, it is not fair to form any opinions based on only what has been reported by the media.

She also emphasised that she does not dismiss the woman’s side; her intent is to stay neutral. In addition, Daisy stated that Palaash approached her on a professional basis, and it is not fair for her to make a judgement about him until she knows all the facts. She also mentioned that she hopes both parties can move forward, saying “I really would love to see both sides of this come together and find their way back to each other, they were a beautiful couple.”

Daisy maintains that keeping personal and work life separate is important. According to Daisy, it’s easy to transition from personal to professional life, and as far as Daisy is concerned, neither has to affect the other. Daisy stated that she doesn’t know what happened fully as all situations have two sides. Since it involves two families, she thinks it would be unfair to judge based on the media alone. She stated, she’s not dismissing the woman’s viewpoint, but would prefer to remain neutral. Furthermore, Daisy believes that Palaash approached her only to work and without the entire truth, he should not be judged. Finally, Daisy stated that whatever happened, she would like for them to come to an agreement and would like to see them as a couple again because they are a nice couple.

Personal life of Palaash Muchhal is in limelight

Reports suggest that Palaash Muchhal and his fiancée Smriti were to tie the knot on November 23rd last, but due to a medical emergency with regard to Father of Smriti, the events took a turn; this included the fact that Palaash was also hospitalised around the same time (in Mumbai). Following these incidents/speculations/processes, a number of stories concerning Palaash cheating on Smriti began circulating.

Palaash subsequently wrote an Instagram message addressing the situation; explaining that he has chosen to move on with his life and has put an end to his personal relationship. He expressed disappointment in the speed at which some people made judgements based on unproven hearsay, claiming it was one of his hardest times in life. He stated that he is going to comport himself with dignity and also asked people to consider carefully when passing judgement towards others on the basis of gossip. Immediately following the cancellation; Palaash and Smriti precluded each other on Instagram.
