Sonu Sood donates ₹22 lakh to a cow shelter in Varahi, Gujarat, supporting the care of nearly 7,000 rescued and abandoned cows and reinforcing his commitment to animal welfare.

Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood continues to set an example of compassion beyond the screen. The real-life hero has extended a generous contribution of ₹22 lakh to support a large cow shelter in Varahi, Gujarat, reaffirming his commitment to animal welfare and grassroots causes.

The shelter, which is home to nearly 7,000 cows, provides care, protection, and dignity to abandoned, injured, and rescued animals. Operating on such a massive scale requires continuous resources, from veterinary care and medical supplies to daily feed and infrastructure upkeep. Sonu Sood’s contribution will directly help strengthen these essential facilities and ensure the well-being of thousands of animals.

Speaking about the initiative, Sonu expressed deep admiration for the journey of the shelter. He said, “When I see their journey, which started with just a few cows and has now reached seven thousand, it’s a matter of great pride, not only for us but for every person in every village.” He further added that while the work done by those running the shelter is extraordinary, his contribution is a small effort to support their relentless service.

Sonu was visibly moved by the warmth and love he received during his visit to Varahi. Sharing his thoughts, he said, “The love I received made me feel very good and very proud. I will keep coming here. The way cow protection is done in such an amazing way here should be implemented throughout India.” His words reflect his belief in scalable, humane solutions and his vision of taking meaningful local initiatives to a national level.

Over the years, Sonu Sood has emerged as one of the most trusted faces of compassion in the country, known for stepping up during crises and supporting causes rooted in empathy and responsibility. His latest contribution once again highlights that for him, service is not a one-time act, but a continuing mission driven by humanity.
