Bigg Boss 19 fame Malti Chahar has had enough of the constant speculation surrounding her personal life. After weeks of being questioned about her alleged relationship with music composer Amaal Malik, Malti finally addressed the rumours head-on through a detailed and emotional Twitter statement.
In her clarification, Malti made it clear that there was no relationship, no “ship,” and no romantic angle whatsoever between her and Amaal Malik. She revealed that Amaal had asked for her number, after which they met only once. According to Malti, the interaction was limited to a simple conversation where they shared some personal thoughts and later stayed in touch over phone calls—nothing beyond that.
She further explained a moment from Bigg Boss 19 that had sparked speculation. When she mentioned “bahar ki baat nahi karenge” (we won’t discuss outside matters), it was not to hide anything romantic but to protect Amaal’s personal information, which she felt was not hers to disclose on national television.
Malti also expressed disappointment over Amaal allegedly creating a misleading narrative on the show. She stated that she found it disrespectful that he suggested she was trying to impress him and made remarks that she only became aware of after exiting the Bigg Boss house.
Addressing the mental health angle, Malti admitted that Amaal had spoken about his struggles multiple times, both before and during the show. Out of empathy, she tried to be supportive in the moment. However, she now regrets being dragged into unnecessary controversy because of it.
Ending her statement on a firm note, Malti wrote, “That’s all. Spare me now. Please don’t associate my name with his.”
Meanwhile, fans have shifted focus to Malti’s bond with Praniti More, a connection that gained popularity during Bigg Boss 19. The hashtag #Manit has been trending, with fans hoping the two reconcile their friendship and move past the controversy.
With this clear statement, Malti Chahar has drawn a definitive line, choosing peace over persistent speculation and reclaiming control over her narrative.
