Television actress Ashnoor Kaur, who made headlines for her dramatic exit from Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19, has spoken out against what she believes was unfair editing during her stint on the reality show. The actress was eliminated after hitting contestant Tanya Mittal with a wooden plank during a task, an incident that quickly became controversial.
In a recent interview with Faridoon Sharyar, Ashnoor expressed disappointment over how her journey inside the house was portrayed. She revealed that several of her confrontations, opinions, and equations with fellow contestants never made it to the final cut.
Recalling her reaction after stepping out of the house, Ashnoor said she asked her parents whether they had seen her standing up against other contestants. Their response shocked her.
“They told me they hadn’t seen any of it,” she said.
Ashnoor explained that the makers focused on just one narrative involving her and a single contestant, while completely ignoring her interactions with others.
“What actually happened is that they picked up just one track and showed me with only one person, whereas I was taking stands and fighting with other people in the house on issues I thought were worthy enough to fight for,” she said.
She further added that she had equations with several housemates including Zeishan, Baseer, and Amaal, but none of these dynamics were shown — not even in the live feed.
“I was doing my things in my own way, but those things were not shown at all. So if such a perception is being created, it’s because editing plays a very big role,” Ashnoor stated.
While acknowledging that it’s impossible to showcase every moment from a house that runs 24/7, Ashnoor maintained that the editing shaped a perception that she was not contributing enough — something she strongly disagrees with.
Bigg Boss 19 concluded on December 7, with Gaurav Khanna emerging as the winner. He walked away with the trophy, ₹50 lakh prize money, a car, and a special promise from Salman Khan to collaborate in the future.
Ashnoor’s remarks have once again sparked conversations around reality show editing, narrative control, and audience perception, highlighting how unseen moments can significantly impact a contestant’s journey and public image.
