The rumours gained momentum after Mahhi wished her close friend Nadeem Nadz, CEO of Salman Khan Films on his birthday. Soon after, netizens started linking the two romantically especially when Mahhi disabled comments on the post. The situation quickly turned uncomfortable, leading actor Ankita Lokhande to step in and defend her friend publicly.

On Sunday, Ankita shared a strong message on her Instagram Story expressing how disturbed she was by the comments targeting Mahhi and Nadeem. She clarified that Nadeem has always been a father figure to Mahhi, Jay and their children. Ankita also praised him for being a kind and supportive person, asking people to stop spreading negativity and let everyone live peacefully.

Jay Bhanushali reposted Ankita’s story and agreed with her words. He thanked Ankita and said he stood by everything she mentioned. Mahhi also reshared the story but chose not to add any caption.
