Akshay said that filmmaker Aditya Dhar did not approach him for Dhurandhar, and that such things are part of the industry. According to him, there is no place for jealousy because every actor eventually finds work.
The actor explained that there are only around fifteen to twenty leading actors in the industry while nearly one hundred and eighty films are made each year. With so many projects being produced, he believes there is enough opportunity for everyone.
Akshay also admitted that actors may sometimes feel a small sense of regret about missing out on a film. However, he clarified that such feelings do not translate into jealousy.
“There are times when you think I wish I had got that film, but that is where it ends. There is no jealousy,” he said during the interaction.
His candid response quickly caught attention online, with many fans praising the actor for speaking openly about competition and camaraderie within the film industry.
