Celebrating 19 years of marriage, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continue to remain one of Bollywood’s most iconic couples. Their wedding in 2007 united two celebrated names, instantly becoming a moment of national attention.

Recalling their first meeting, Abhishek once shared, “I first met her when I was a production boy… that’s the first time… I met Aishwarya… Aishwarya tells me she couldn’t understand a word I said because of my British boarding school accent.”

Over time, their connection deepened, leading to a marriage built on shared values. Speaking about it, Aishwarya said, “Marriage means keeping the faith and it remaining, it is the institution both of us believe in.”

Their bond with family has also been a cornerstone. In a heartfelt moment, Abhishek revealed, “Ash is a second daughter to my parents,” highlighting how naturally Aishwarya became part of the Bachchan household.

Addressing public perception, Abhishek once said, “No, not at all,” when asked if he ever felt overshadowed. Aishwarya added, “I absolutely despise the term overshadow… he is very, very well established and has carved a niche for himself.”
