The success wave of Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to sweep Bollywood and its latest moment of charm comes straight from actor Yami Gautam herself. In a candid and heartwarming instance Yami was recently spotted attending a packed theatre screening of the film quietly blending in with the audience until her own cameo lit up the big screen.
Accompanied by her sister actor Surilie Gautam, Yami chose to experience the film like any other viewer. But the moment her brief appearance as Shazia Bano, a character from her acclaimed 2025 film Haq flashed onscreen, she couldn’t help but react. A video shared by Surilie on Instagram captured Yami blushing, smiling and even covering her face in playful embarrassment as she asked her sister to keep quiet.
The cameo itself is being seen as a subtle nod by filmmaker Aditya Dhar to his wife’s widely praised performance in Haq. The couple, often regarded as one of Bollywood’s strongest creative partnerships seem to be riding high on both personal and professional fronts. While Aditya basks in the roaring success of the Dhurandhar franchise, Yami continues to receive appreciation for her evolving body of work.
Surilie, clearly proud also praised both her sister and brother-in-law in her social media posts calling the film “another masterpiece” and describing Yami as a pillar of strength behind Aditya’s success.
Meanwhile, the film’s lead star Ranveer Singh has been celebrating the blockbuster run in style. The actor was recently seen stepping out with his wife, Deepika Padukone, in Mumbai. Pictures of the couple posing with restaurant staff quickly went viral reflecting the upbeat mood surrounding the film’s performance.
With a star studded ensemble including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and others, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has emerged as one of the biggest cinematic successes in recent times. Crossing the ₹1,067 crore mark globally, it currently ranks among the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
Between intimate fan moments like Yami’s theatre visit and grand celebrations led by its stars, Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate not just the box office, but also the cultural conversation.
