The Ikkis screening turned emotional for the Deol family, especially for Sunny Deol as he gets emotional remembering his legendary father Dharmendra. Actor Ameesha Patel who worked with Sunny Deol in Gadar, also attended a special screening of Ikkis.

Ameesha posted a video where she was seen hugging an emotional Sunny Deol during the screening. The clip also shows her interacting with Bobby Deol and hugging fellow actors on the red carpet. Pictures also went around where Ameesha was seen posing with Sunny and Bobby’s cousin actor Abhay Deol.

Ameesha shared her reviews of the film, where she expressed gratitude to Sunny and Bobby Deol for hosting the screening. She mentioned Ikkis being a beautiful and fitting tribute to veteran actor Dharmendra. She also wrote that the film felt emotional and heart warming because of Dharam ji’s charm and innocence. Wishing the Ikkis team success, and hopes the film does really well at the box office.

Ikkis is directed by Sriram Raghavan marking Dharmendra’s final appearance on the big screen. The legendary actor passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. The film stars Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Videos from the screening showed Sunny Deol getting moved while watching his father on the big screen. Bobby Deol who was seen with his wife Tanya Deol and son also paid a quiet tribute by wearing one of Dharmendra’s shirts at the event. Ikkis is set to release in theatres on January 1, 2026, produced by Maddock Films and Jio studios.
