Telugu film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna recently hosted a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad to celebrate their marriage with friends from the film industry. While the evening was filled with glamour, celebrity guests and traditional elegance one small moment between the couple quickly caught the attention of fans on social media.
A short video from the reception has been circulating online showing the couple posing for photographs with the paparazzi after the celebrations concluded. Surrounded by photographers and fans Vijay stood beside Rashmika with his arm around her gently guiding her through the crowd while they prepared for a group photograph.
In the clip Vijay is seen asking one of the photographers who seemed to be looking elsewhere to focus on the camera, casually saying “udhar dekh” while pointing toward the direction of the shot. The gesture appeared simple but affectionate and many viewers interpreted it as Vijay being protective of Rashmika amid the crowd of cameras and people around them.
The moment quickly gained attention on social media where fans praised the actor’s caring behaviour. Several users commented on how naturally the couple interacted with each other during the photo session. For the reception, both actors chose traditional South Indian attire. Vijay Deverakonda wore a cream kurta paired with a dhoti giving him a classic and understated look. Rashmika Mandanna on the other hand wore a striking red and gold saree along with heavy gold jewellery and sindoor completing the bridal aesthetic with elegance.
During their brief interaction with photographers Vijay also made a light-hearted comment about the celebrations. Laughing he remarked that after the festivities they hoped to “go underground” and enjoy some quiet time. Rashmika was seen laughing at the remark, and the playful moment brought smiles to the photographers as well.
The reception itself turned into a major gathering for the Telugu film industry. Several prominent actors attended the event to congratulate the newly married couple. Among those present were Ravi Teja, Nani, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi who offered their blessings. The event also saw the presence of Bollywood personalities such as Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon and Mrunal Thakur.

Speculation about Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s relationship had circulated for years although the two actors had largely kept their personal lives private. Fans often noticed them posting pictures from similar locations or events which led to ongoing rumours about their relationship.
The couple eventually made things official with an intimate engagement ceremony held in October last year. They later announced their wedding earlier this year which generated considerable excitement among fans. On 26 February, the actors tied the knot sharing photographs from their wedding that quickly spread across social media platforms.
Following the wedding the couple also made efforts to connect with their supporters. They reportedly sent sweets to fans in several cities and organised a meet-and-greet event in Hyderabad where they interacted with admirers and served food to them.
While the grand reception showcased the couple’s new beginning it was Vijay’s small protective gesture during the photo session that resonated most with fans adding another memorable moment to the celebrations of their marriage.
