Today Rashmika Mandanna is married to her best friend and she is happiest to be called his wife. There was a time when she confessed how it was Vijay Deverakonda who healed her something he didn’t break. In a candid and emotional revelation about one of the chapters of her personal life that many fans had never heard. She talked of a past relationship where she felt that she had no choice- one where she said she felt emotional suffocation and that this was not the feeling that a healthy relationship should have been like.

Rashmika did not give the name of her former partner during the interview, but her history provided enough clues to help the fans fill in the blanks, in 2018, she was set to get engaged to an actor called Rakshit Shetty, but the engagement was called off. She told me that that stage made her feel paralysed and confused about herself, so it is vital to make choices and be both happy in a relationship.

Even during that time of weakness, she gave credit to actor Vijay Deverakonda, her long-time companion and current husband, in aiding her recovery. The pain was not inflicted upon her by him, but Rashmika said that his consistent encouragement, support and belief in her made her rise out of those unhealing wounds. She referred to him as the person who made her see life after hurt and made her take pleasure in happiness and power once more.
