Kartik Aaryan recently grabbed attention with a remark about Ranbir Kapoor during an interview. When asked what quality he would like to adopt from his co-stars, Kartik paused thoughtfully at Ranbir’s name and jokingly said, “You should beware of Ranbir as he took my director.”
The comment was made in reference to filmmaker Luv Ranjan, who directed Kartik’s breakthrough film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Kartik’s lengthy monologue in the film became a cultural phenomenon and remains one of the most iconic performances of his career.
Years later, Luv Ranjan went on to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, where Kartik also made a cameo appearance. Reflecting on that shift, Kartik’s tongue-in-cheek remark hinted at friendly industry rivalry rather than any real tension.
Meanwhile, Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri alongside Ananya Panday. The film, however, failed to impress audiences and did not perform well at the box office.
Despite recent setbacks, Kartik continues to remain one of Bollywood’s most talked-about young stars, often making headlines for both his candid interviews and film choices.
