The Past Controversy Explained
For those unfamiliar with the history, Rashmika was previously engaged to actor Rakshit Shetty in 2017 when she was 21. Rakshit is reportedly 13 years older than her. The engagement was called off in 2018.
In 2023, while discussing her debut film, Rashmika referred to her ex-fiancé’s production house, Paramvah Studios, as a “so-called production house,” using air quotes. The remark did not go unnoticed.

He further added that Rakshit Shetty is not someone who would sit around feeling guilty. His comments drew backlash from Rashmika’s fans, who criticised the tone as unnecessary and disrespectful.
