The world of Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic just got darker, sharper, and infinitely more dangerous. The makers have officially introduced Akshay Oberoi as Tony and Sudev Nair as Karmadi, two powerful additions that promise to deepen the film’s already gripping narrative.

Akshay Oberoi’s Tony appears straight out of the 1950s, blending vintage charm with quiet menace. Sporting long sideburns and an old world silhouette, Tony is not just someone who has seen violence but someone who understands it, controls it, and perhaps even thrives in it. There is an effortless swagger in his look that suggests sophistication layered with danger.

Director Geetu Mohandas spoke highly of Akshay’s commitment, calling him deeply curious and emotionally invested in the craft. She revealed that Akshay does not approach scenes passively but constantly explores the emotional architecture of every moment. According to her, he searches for truth in performance rather than waiting to be guided toward it. She added that his passion for acting and willingness to dive into complexity will leave audiences stunned.

Equally impactful is Sudev Nair as Karmadi. With a flat cap pulled low, a sharply styled moustache, and a steady gaze, Karmadi brings a grounded yet intense presence to the narrative. Gun in hand, his character radiates quiet authority and strength. Rather than loud theatrics, Sudev’s portrayal hints at depth without excess and emotion without display.

Geetu described Sudev as a quietly supportive force who committed himself fully not just to the role but to the entire journey of the film. Having worked with him before, she emphasized his understated power and leadership by example on set. She believes that beyond talent, it is character that carries an artist far, and she sees Sudev thriving in the industry for years to come.

The excitement around Toxic has already reached fever pitch. The recently unveiled teaser clocked over 200 million views within 24 hours, further intensifying anticipation. Yash’s clean shaven look as Ticket has sparked massive speculation, with many fans theorizing a possible dual role.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic A Fairytale for Grown Ups has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages, reflecting the film’s global ambition.

Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026. Alongside Yash, the film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles.

With new characters unveiled and intrigue mounting, Toxic is shaping up to be one of the most awaited cinematic spectacles of 2026.
