With over a hundred movies having been made with Govinda playing a main role as a result of his effervescence, the revelation by the music composer and organizer of the event, Abu Malik has exposed a shocking event that occurred during the heyday of the actor. Abu recently talked about how Govinda once missed a live performance and left thousands of fans to be disappointed as well as organisers in a state of panic.

Remembering the incident, Abu responded that the concert was organized in a village located in Maharashtra and about 15,000 people came to watch a performance by Govinda. The preparations were enormous and even a helicopter had been dispatched to transport the star to the place. But, despite the efforts made, Govinda never came. The impatient audience started to seek answers and the pressure on the organisers continued to increase as time went by.

Having no other choice and with the possibility of a potential backlash, Abu made a risky and unprecedented move. He requested his younger brother, Daboo Malik, who bore some semblance with Govinda, to come in his place and impersonate the actor. Daboo was soon adorned in flashy attires and an orchestra started playing popular songs of Govinda. He entered the stage and sang, doing his best to make the audience entertained.

Abu says that it was just to keep the situation under control and save lives of all concerned. He even hired a bus prior to this so that they could get away on time after the show was over. Fortunately the plan succeeded and the mob was quiet, not knowing what had actually taken place.
